How to start.
Starting on something new can be a hassle. First of all, you need to figure out how you want to start and then actually do it.
This is where I often get stuck, starting making. I love the concept phase, writing ideas and strategies. Making endless lists. Dreaming up new concepts and different ways to execute them. But what if when I start I can’t reach those dreams and concepts? The fear of failure creeps in, combined with Imposter Syndrome.
So I just bit the bullet with this first issue. Because if I never start, I can never fail, succeed, nor grow.

I am a connoisseur of the Fantastic, Weird, Horrific, and Enjoyable. In the form of Cinema, TV/Streaming, Literature, Comics, Manga, and Anime. Plus I like to geek out every now and then about Culture, Socioeconomics, and Technology.

Sator; an amazing moody horror set in the woods with real interviews of the grandma of the director.
Godzilla vs Kong; Super entertaining movie, didn’t care for the humans, but a great popcorn flick with all the monster moments.
Minari; amazingly true and emotional story of an Korean-American immigrant family and their journey integrating into American society.

Creepshow season 2 (on Shudder)
Kingdom (season 1 and 2 now on Netflix) Train to Busan, but then in the 1600s.
Fire Force (anime, on VRV/Crunchyroll) dystopian world, where people spontaneously turn into Infernals aka fire demons.

Fun fact: I am currently part of the longest running Horror room on Clubhouse. We do daily screenings of old or cult-movies. There are a bunch of different topics with different size audiences we discuss and most importantly: we are the unofficial official 10-year anniversary screening of the Japanese troma horror Zombie Ass: The toilet of the Dead.
